Mission The Department of Medical Microbiology at the Leiden University Medical Center is aimed at the advancement of medical microbiology, clinically as well as basically orientated, by pursuing excellence in scientific research, by providing training and education in this field, as well by providing and developing clinical expertise and laboratory support of the highest level to patient care inside and outside the Leiden University Medical Center.
