| Mission |
The Trimbos Institute is the Netherlands Netherlands Instituut for Mental Health and Addiction (NIMHA). It is our aim tot create knowledge on mental health and apply it to mental health care, addiction care and social work policy and practice. We monitor and keep policy makers and politicians informed about the mental health of the Dutch population. We conduct research into the organization, accessibility, quality and effectiveness of prevention and care facilities. In addition, we develop new prevention, treatment and care organization methods, guidelines and programmes. We give courses and trainings in mental health care and addiction care. We also provide the general population with information on mental disorders, alcohol and drugs. |
