Mission	NUTRIM School for Nutritition, Toxicology and Metabolism, Maastricht University Medical Centre+, initiates and catalyzes translational research at the cross-road of different disciplines into nutritional and metabolic health risks and benefits focusing on societally important chronic diseases. This research is nationally and internationally organized through partnerships with other academic groups, government and industry. Simultaneously, through its PhD program Nutrim aims to produce investigators of high scientific excellence and ambassadors to support and develop the field of nutrition, toxicology and metabolism within and outside UM. Nutrim also acts as an independent, authoritative source of scientific advice and information for external user groups. 15 Biomedical, clinical and behavioural-science departments co-operate within NUTRIM.
