Mission	STOWA's mission is to carry out applied research in behalf of Netherlands' organisations dealing with water management. Focal points are research in: 1. water systems, 2. waste water systems, 3. water chain, and 4. dams. Subject 1 includes surface water, the emissions into the water, waterbottom and groundwater, with emphasis on the aspects of water management. Subject 2 includes the collection, transport and treatment of waste water and sludges.
