De Nederlandse Onderzoekschool Voor Astronomie (NOVA) is een samenwerkingsverband van de sterrenkundige instituten aan de universiteiten van Amsterdam, Groningen, Leiden, Nijmegen en Utrecht. NOVA is een van de zes toponderzoekscholen in Nederland. NOVA doet naast onderzoek ook universitair onderwijs in de astronomie. Bovendien bestaat aan elk NOVA- instituut de mogelijkheid te promoveren in de sterrenkunde, een wetenschapsgebied waarbinnen Nederland excelleert en behoort tot de wereldtop. Samenwerking met de NWO instituten ASTRON en SRON bij de ontwikkeling en constructie van astronomische instrumentatie. |
