| Mission |
The purpose of NSG is to promote the understanding of process-oriented aspects of the planet earth and its impact on energy and environmental issues. The research programme of the NSG is directed towards the advancement of fundamental science with a keen interest to develop new scientific concepts and methodologies in close interaction with applications in the fields of natural resources and the environment. The programme is characterized by a close coupling of data acquisition, advanced laboratory techniques, and state-of-the-art numerical modelling targeted on three NSG research themes: |1. Sedimentary basins and continental margins |2. Lithosphere, biosphere, climate and surface processes |3. Bio- geochemistry and water |
