| Mission |
The Netherlands School of Primary Care Research is a collaboration of the research institutes Caphri: School for Public Health and Primary Care ( Maastricht University), EMGO Institute (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), the Centre of Evidence-Based Practice (UMC St Radboud Nijmegen) and the NIVEL institute. The scientific mission of CaRe is twofold. 1. To perform high quality health care research in primary care and public health. 2. To train researchers who are able to develop and carry out high quality research in this field. The mission of CaRe concerns the development of scientific knowlegde, including the training of young researchers, in the field of primary health care, transmural care, public health and health policy, the implementation of this knowledge, and the evaluation of quality of arrangements in these fields. The mission of CaRe has its roots in medical, sociological, psychological and biological research and theories as well as in the practice of primary care health care, transmural care and public health. The domains of CaRe are unique among research schools in The Netherlands. |
