Mission The Duitsland Instituut of the Universiteit van Amsterdam (DIA) is an independent research and teaching institute concerned with the politics, economy and history of Germany from a Dutch perspective. Its main aims are to increase knowledge of Germany and disseminate this knowledge to a wide audience in the Netherlands. It also aims to provide a forum for anyone at home or abroad who has an interest in Germany.
