Mission The Nederlands Astma Fonds (Netherlands Asthma Foundation) aims to prevent asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and related diseases. It tries to minimalize the effects of these diseases for patients and there environment. The Astma Fonds stimulates and subsidizes scientific research. About 20% of its working budget is spent on more than 100 projects at Dutch universities and hospitals.
Addition Het Astma Fonds verricht zelf geen onderzoek, maar verstrekt middelen voor onderzoek. Het Astma Fonds stelt jaarlijks een beperkt aantal beurzen beschikbaar aan studenten voor een onderzoekstage in het buitenland.
