Mission The Dutch Polymer Institute (DPI) is a public-private partnership with the main goal to carry out high-quality scientific research with relevance for industrial application. The research programme focuses on ultimate properties and novel concepts. The research programme of DPI provides novel leads for the partner companies. The different disciplines of the polymer research are integrated within DPI: polymer chemistry, polymer physics and polymer processing. Focus points for the DPI research are the 'chain of knowledge' approach and the interactive knowledge exchange between industry and knowledge institutes based on joint projects. The following Technology Areas can be indentified: 1. Polyolefins 2. Performance Polymers 3. Functional Polymer Systems 4. Coatings Technology 5. High-Throughput Experimentation 6. Bio-Inspired Polymers 7. Large-Area Thin-Film Electronics 8. Emerging Technologies 9. Corporate Research.
