| Mission |
Wageningen University wishes to develop and disseminate the scientific knowledge needed to sustainably supply society's demand for sufficient, healthy food and a good environment for humans, animals and plants. The five departments are: Agrotechnology and food sciences, Animal sciences, Social sciences, Environmental sciences, and Plant sciences. Wageningen University has set up several Graduate Schools: Experimental Plant Sciences (EPS); Food Technology, Agrobiotechnology, Nutrition and Health Sciences (VLAG); C.T. de Wit Graduate School of Production Ecology & Resource Conservation (PE&RC); Wageningen Institute of Animal Sciences (WIAS); Mansholt Institute (MI). Furthermore, Wageningen Institute of Environment and Climate Research (WIMEK) participates in the Netherlands Research School for the Socio-Economic and Natural Sciences of the Environment (SENSE). |
