The research is directed towards elucidating the molecular and electronic structure, as well as the dynamics and transport processes of compounds of biological interest to explain their biological functions. Also attention is given to the development of scientific instruments and physical measuring techniques, which have been accommodated to the properties of the biological interesting molecules. In addition to this, advanced physical equipment is made available to solve problems of specific agricultural nature. The research focuses on watertransport and regulation, lipid-protein interactions, making use of magnetic resonance(MRI/NMR/ESR) and optical spectroscopy. |
