| Mission |
he Rural History Group analyses processes of modernisation, and more specificits effects on the spatial use, agriculture, rural institutions, consumption and the environment. By researching long-term processes in rural and rural-urban areas we make a contribution to the study of processes of social change and we provide a historical dimension to contemporary issues on governance with regard to spatial use, agriculture, nutrition, and the environment. The long-term view, the method of encompassing comparison and attention for spatial consequences of social processes are typical for our approach. |
