| Mission |
The NCG is the platform of scientists in geodesy and geo-information with an organized relation with the profession. The NCG advances the quality and the interests of these sciences and applies for an optimal contribution to the community. From a scientific point of view the NCG stands for the following tasks: |- To coordinate and to direct the fundamental and strategic research in geodesy and geo-information in the Netherlands. |- To form a think-tank for the development of geodesy and geo-information in the Netherlands. |- To give advises on general policy issues related to geodesy and geo-information taking in account the developments in society. |- The coordination of the international representation of the Netherlands concerning science and research in geodesy and geo-information. |- To advise the scientific education in geodesy and geo-information from a scientific perspective taking in account the needs of society. |- To contribute to the maintenance and keeping up-to-date of the geodetic infrastructure in the Netherlands. |
