Kortlopend onderwijsonderzoek wordt uitgevoerd op basis van vragen uit het veld door universitaire onderzoeksinstellingen. Het onderzoek ondersteunt de dagelijkse praktijk in scholen voor primair en voortgezet onderwijs en middelbaar beroepsonderwijs. Het is actiegericht, schooloverstijgend en in het bijzonder gericht op kwaliteitsverbetering.
