| Mission |
Mundo's Mission: Through academic cooperation across the world our purpose is to create an atmosphere, which stimulates people to learn from each other to their individual benefit and for the benefit of the institutions and societies they represent. Mundo esssentially is the organisational unit within Maastricht University (UM) that facilitates cooperation between the UM and partner institutions (mainly universities) in the developing world. This cooperation generally aims at capacity building in these partner institutions in terms of knowledge, higher education and scientific research. Most important themes in UM's international cooperation for development are educational innovation, health professions education for development and good governance. All international projects are executed in close cooperation with academic staff of one or more of UM's faculties. |
