| Mission |
The AMC Research Institute develops long-term research programmes and monitors their quality. The Research Institute s governing board is the AMC Research Council. It advises the Executive Board of AMC on research policy, provides support to researchers wishing to apply for research grants, and facilitates the organization of scientific debate within AMC. Lectures, seminar series and retreats on specific topics are also organized within each theme.
In order to stimulate interdisciplinary collaboration, the AMC has selected seven themes in which it aspires to excel: Cardiovascular Diseases (CD);
Gastrointestinal Diseases (GID);
Infection and Immunity (I&I);
Metabolic Disorders (Met);
Neurological and Psychiatric Disorders (NPD);
Oncology (Onc);
Public Health and Epidemiology (PHE). |
