The Tilburg Center for Logic and Philosophy of Science (TiLPS) is devoted to the study of logic and philosophy of science in all its forms. Founded in May 2007, the first activity of TiLPS included a workshop on Methodological Problems of the Social Sciences, reflecting our particular interest in the philosophical problems of economics and the social and behavioral sciences. TiLPS offers a Visiting Fellows Program, through which logicians and philosophers of science reside in Tilburg for several months or an entire academic year. What is more, TiLPS supports a full calendar of events, including regular research seminars, workshops, conferences and a lecture series, and is involved in the teaching of graduate students. TiLPS maintains relations and sponsors programs with other units at Tilburg University, especially the Department of Philosophy and the Tilburg School of Economics and Management. |
