| Mission |
The Amsterdam Institute for International Development (AIID) is a joint initiative of the University of Amsterdam and the VU University Amsterdam. AIID is a multidisciplinary research network with a strong focus on generating evidence to improve the design of policies to reduce poverty. The Institute is specialised in three fields: health insurance (particularly related to HIV/AIDS in Africa), impact evaluation of sector-wide programs, and the effectiveness of African parliaments. AIID fellows represent many different fields, including economics, medicine and political science. |
