Expertise Decision making; Complexity; Public private relationships; Design and management of processes. The research concerns the phenomena of complex decision making in the public sector but also on the edge of public and private sector. Much of the emperical research is in the field of urban development, transport en environmental affairs.

Het onderzoek richt zich op het fenomeen van complexe besluitvorming in de publieke sector en op het raakvlak van publieke en private partijen. Veel van het empirisch onderzoek betreft het veld van urbane ontwikkelingen, transport en fysieke omgeving.
