Inhoud

This repository contains the theses of the PhD participants at the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, from 2003 onwards. The UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education was established in 2003. It carries out research, education and capacity building activities in the fields of water, environment and infrastructure. UNESCO-IHE continues the work that began in 1957 when IHE first offered a postgraduate diploma course in hydraulic engineering to practising professionals from developing countries. The Institute is the largest water education facility in the world, and the only institution in the UN system authorised to confer accredited MSc degrees. In the future a substantial part of the scientific output of UNESCO-IHE will be available on the repository.

Techniek

UNESCO-IHE content is hosted by TU Delft Repository, which is entirely built with open source software components. The base is the Fedora Commons repository software. Administrative and user interfaces are built with Django, a Python web framework. The search engine is SOLR/Lucene. The OAI-PMH data provider is based on Infrae's MOAI server (also Python). Everything runs on Linux servers.
