Strategic renewal within large European corporations

In large companies renewal is necessary, but conflicting with the need for efficiency. Hence, balancing the two forms a major problem for large firms. Because initiatives form an important vehicle for renewal, the paradox is contained in the question of how firms should manage such initiatives. It is this question that an answer is sought for in this investigation. A case study has already been carried out at Ericsson Telecommunications in the Netherlands. Two more case studies in the telecom sector will follow.
