| This research program focuses on the exposure to organic solvents, the kinetics in man and the effects on the skin and the nervous system of exposed persons. The program comprises the following research lines: epidemiological study of early health effects in man after long term exposure in the occupational setting or in the general environment; toxicokinetics, in particular dermal absorption and biotransformation; evaluation of diagnostic procedures applied to subjects with suspected diseases of occupational origin, i.e. solvent induced chronic encephalopathy. |
