| What will be the contribution of different conceptions of truth criteri for the development and evaluation of effective legal information systems? To be able to answer the research question, we discuss the special nature of Dutch civil law, and indicate the way in wich the notion of truth may be a guiding priciple in this domain. We investigate to what extent notions of truth are employed in the domain of legal information systems.Of course, the notions are compared with the equivalent notions that are further elaborated on in philosophy. The role of these truth criteria will also be examined with respect to the application of information systems. |
