Title Measuring and modelling surface and subsurface runoff and sediment transport in different land units in the Ouvèze catchment (France)
Period 05 / 2001 - unknown
Status Completed
Research number OND1280014

Abstract

Aim: Treatment of the land in agricultural areas has an important effect on the production of surface and subsurface runoff and the sediment transport in rill and interrill areas. The aim of the research is to analyse the effects of the treatment of the land on these processes and to assess the relative contribution of these processes to the output on a catchment scale.
Methods: Mapping of terrain units, rainfall simulation tests 0.5x2 m , discharge measurements in a small catchment, modelling in a GIS environment on plot scale and catchment scale.
Present topics: Measurements of soil erosion and surface and subsurface runoff on a plot scale with the rainfall simulator.
