Context: Paleoclimate studies using atmospheric 14C concentration reconstructions, and dating of climatic events by means of wiggle matching. Aim: Disentangle the terrestrial 14C signal in its global carbon cycle and direct climate change parts; study of climate change-global carbon cycle interactions. Methods: High precision conventional dating, AMS, interpretation in terms of climate change. Present topics: Periods with increasing atmospheric 14C concentrations (Hallstatt plateau, younger Dryas, Maunder minimum). |
