The objective of this project is to investigate the interaction between users and automatic information systems, and to obtain insight in the effect of trust in the system on the allocation of control to system or user. An additional objective is to gain insight in the factors that underlie the origin and maintenance of trust. The ultimate goal is to set up guidelines, on the basis of the research performed, for the design of automatic information systems.
