| Women's poetry is an important discourse in contemporary literature from the People's Republic of China (PRC). Aside from sporadic criticism, however, no book-length study has been made to relate one woman poet to another in terms of shared experience, subject matter, poetic technique and language. This research will diversify and enrich scholarship on contemporary Chinese poetry to date, from perspectives offered by the concept of intertextuality and by critical discourse on women¿s poetry; and, simultaneously, with reference to regionally determined features of texts and contexts. |
