| The research group 'Cardiovascular Imaging and Therapy' focuses on: less invasive investigations (particularly ultrasonography, magnetic resonance angiography and capillar microscopy) to assess the severity of cardiovascular disease less invasive and less harmfull surgical techniques as accomplished by: endovascular interventions instead of open surgery, robotic surgery and perioperative pharmacological manipulation and monitoring genetic therapy in animal models in the laboratory for experimental vascular surgery (scheduled) epidemiological studies to contribute to the secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease (i.e. smoking cessation) Participants in the goup are: vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic surgeons, radiologists and cardiologists. |
