Accurate wave generation including suppression of spuriously generated and reflected waves is essential for high-quality hydrodynamic laboratory experiments. Delft Hydraulics has developed a wave generation algorithm with Active Reflection Compensation, that can be used in both wave flumes and basins, for 'piston'- as well as 'flap'-type generators.
Regular, bichromatic and irregular (short- and longcrested) waves can be generated including user-defined energy density functions. |
