| [Context]: On arable land, soil losses caused by root and tuber harvesting can be significant. Yet, this process is rarely considered when assessing soil erosion rates. Preliminary results from field measurements indicate that this process is far from negligible on cropland and that it can be even in particular conditions the dominant soil degradation process. [Aim]: This project seeks to quantify the magnitude of SLRTH and its controlling factors in a range of environments throughout Europe.
