| This study is a comparison of the institutional responses to Rwanda's 1994 genocide, in particular the International Tribunal, the national courts, the National Unity Commission and the traditional gacaca. Each rests on different assumptions on the desirable relationship between truth, justice and reconciliation, and is powerfully shaped by the globalizing context. |
