| The goals of the program are: a)the design, analysis and characteristics of, principally, game theoretical models which require cooperation, as well as competition between the players of a game; the design and analysis of algorithms for the calculation of equilibrium theory; making appropriate mathematical models for applications. b)the design and empirical testing of models that can describe and improve market functioning, such as auctions, and models that describe and improve the working of branches of industry and public (European) infrastructure. c)the analysis of the interaction between economic policy and socio- economic modeling, including environmental economics, the relation between the market, the non-profit sector and the government, and competition policy. |
