Abstract

Only six months of age are the youngest deaf babies who after an operation are able to observe sounds and speech via a cochlear implant. In this study it will be examined what these babies understand of the mess of spoken words around them.

Slechts zes maanden oud zijn de jongste dove baby's die na een operatie via een cochleair implantaat opeens geluiden en spraak kunnen waarnemen. Dit onderzoek gaat na wat deze baby's begrijpen van de brij gesproken woorden om hen heen.
