| Pneumonia is characterized by local clotting, which is comparable to blood clotting with severe septicaemia. It has been recently demonstrated that the use of hemodiluting agents with severe septicaemia improves survival. In this study it will be examined whether these agents have also a favourable action with pneumonia. |
