| The first objective of the project is to compile a systematic inventory of the following: all relevant archival collections in the Netherlands and abroad; initiatives concerning record management and preservation; current and planned historical research projects; current and planned projects pertaining to the material legacy of the Dutch overseas presence. These initiatives and projects may be unilateral, bilateral or multilateral. The results of this research will be published digitally and, partly, in print. This material will help identify possibilities for future projects and collaboration in the field of historical research, the preservation and the improvement of the accessibility of documentary sources and the conservation and restoration of other tangible remains of the Dutch colonial past in the Atlantic region. |
