The government is responsible for the protection of food safety and animal health. Especially Salmonella and Campylobacter in poultry need attention, but also in the area of other zoonotic organisms improvements can be made. Not only national regulations but more and more EU regulations play a role. For Campylobacter on one hand risk-analysis and on the other hand possible interventions will be tackled. In addition there are questions on Salmonella, Trichinella, Toxoplasm, HepatitisE and more questions on Campylobacter. These include subjects regarding validation of serological assays, development of surveillance systems and risk-analysis.
