Research objectives:
Current decision support systems (DSS) in potato late blight control, e.g. Negfry (DK), Prophy (NL), Plant-Plus (NL) and Simphyt (D), do not consider the spatial and multi-scale aspects of spore dispersal, instead they organize and integrate information on the life cycle of P. infestans, the weather (historical and forecast), plant growth, fungicides, and cultivar resistance for decisions on fungicide application to control late blight. This project aims to serve as a test environment for prototype decision rules in a semi-practical environment. It therefore serves as bridge between the research theme s EPI and BOX. |
