| Effective support for planning decisions is an important requisite for good performance of the operations function in a firm. The main question is how to support the planner in his day-to-day planning activities. We investigate the design of planning systems from a multi-disciplinary perspective, integrating quantitative (operations research) and qualitative (ergonomics of systems design, cognitive science, behavioural science) approaches with information systems technology. |
