| A large-scale multidisciplinary longitudinal cohort study with the aim to chart and explain the mental and physical health from preadolsecence into adulthood (age 10 to at least age 24) by means of bi-annual assessments. TRAILS seeks to identify the determinants of mental (ill)health and to elucidate the underlyuing mechanisms. The present study proposes an extension of TRAILS to include social development in particular the development od pro-and antisocial behavior, and the underlying mechanisms of this development. Such an extension allows a unique combination of sociological, psychological, and medical aspects. The main goal regarding pro-and antisocial behavior is to obtain a better understanding of their determinants and consequences and how these achieve these effects. |
