| This project adresses two main research questions: 1. Which linkages and interactions occurred between different regimes in the energy system in the last 30 years? What were the reasons for these linkages (e.g. new technologies, institutional changes, new functions)? Which mechanisms were important for this linking up? 2. Which opportunities and difficulties did the changing energy system create for new technologies? What was the role of positive feedbacks (e.g. scale effects, knowledge spillovers) and negative feedbacks (e.g. mismatch in actor strategies, dependence on complementary technologies)? |
