Abstract

My research concerns the chronic and episodic determinants of chronic heart failure prognosis. More specifically, I address the question whether type D personality and vital exhaustion are determinants of primary and secondary outcomes in chronic heart failure patients. In addition, autonomic nervous and immune system parameters will also be examined in order to explain the potential relationships between psychological factors and chronic heart failure prognosis.
