Abstract

Perioperative cardiac events are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in non-cardiac surgery. Patient clinical risk factors, preoperative ECG and non-invasive imaging are often used in preoperative cardiac risk assessment. Peter Noordzij focuses on identifying perioperative cardiac risk factors and further optimizing preoperative cardiac risk assessment in patients undergoing non-cardiac surgery.
