| Osteochondrosis is the most important developmental disease with an incidence of about 30% in the Dutch Warmblood horses. The project aims to elucidate the biomechanical factors that are important in osteochondrosis, e.g. the effect of mechanical loading on mechanical properties, gene expressions, production of extracellular matrix and overall differentiation of in chondrocytes of different genetic origin. |
