| The PHD project is part of an E.U. project, Aquafirst, started in november 2004. It aims as finding genes related to stress response and disease resistance for 4 aquaculture species (Trout, oysters, sea bream and sea bass)and then develop protcols for marker assisted selection for those traits. My particular task is to map QTL for stress response and disease resistance and with this information to draw marker assisted selection based breeding programs for the considered species |
