Plant morphogenesis is controlled by internal as well as external signals. All known signals, e.g. light, gravity, growth regulators and also NOD factors, cause changes in the cytoskeleton and these changes are most likely a driving force in morphogenesis. We shall study the molecular steps from signal transduction to changes in the cytoskeleton. For this purpose NOD factor-iduced root hair deformation is used as a system
