| Recently, the incidence of asthma and allergy showed a dramatic increase. Identification of risk and preventive factors is needed for development of effective preventive measures. The extensive, complete 8 years' longitudinal database of the PIAMA study are pre-eminently suitable for the investigation of pre- and perinatal risk factors for the development of childhood asthma phenotypes. |
