Abstract

Formal title: Improving the quality of pork and pork products for the consumer: Development of innovative, integrated, and sustainable food production chains of high quality pork products matching consumer demands. 51 project partners (research, academics and industry) from 16 European countries and 5 non-European countries join forces to analyse and redesign pork chains across Europe,. The activities are organised in scientific research modules: ?Consumer and Citizen; ?Farm level sustainability; ? chain organisation; ? Genomics; ? meat technology; and ? Abstract (NL)

Aim of the Quality Pork Chains-project (QPC): analysis and redesign of pork chains across Europe, through the entries (modules): Consumer and Citizen; Farm, chain, Genomics; meat technology, knowledge integration, Stakeholder participation; knowledge dissemination. QPC-Module Farm level Sustainability: identification, development and application of techniques to enhance farm level sustainability in pork production. 2007: Chain inventory.
