| High-pressure metamorphic rocks occur in many mountainous regions in the Mediterranean region. In this project eclogites from the core of the Sierra Nevada in Southern Spain as well as from the Rhodope mountains in the border region of Greece and Bulgaria are collected during small scale mapping projects. The PTt paths of the rocks are reconstructed in detail and will provide insight into the processes responsible for exhumation of these rocks in the overall compressional setting of the northern Mediterranean margin. |
