| During the last decade both academics and politicians have paid an increasing attention to the role of culture, in the sense of norms and values, for a society and economic performance in particular. Several approaches from different disciplines have been used to investigate this role. Unfortunately, there is little intercommunication and interconnection between the different streams of literature. This book reflects on these new trends and critically assesses them by relating them to longer standing debates about culture and the economy. |
